Electric Guitar with Brandon B.

I am a Rutgers University graduate with a B.A in Music Performance. I have played guitar for over 10 years, and currently perform all over the tri-state area as a solo acoustic performer and songwriter. I also play in several rock bands. I teach several students ages 5-65 right now, and have taught students how to play guitar for several years. In addition to playing in a rock band, I also am well versed in many music styles including jazz, pop, country and acoustic, songwriting, performance, music theory and recording skills/production. *** Lesson Details *** I am a very flexible teacher and suit my teaching style and format to fit each specific student's interests and needs. My goal is to keep the student interested and make learning guitar a fun experience. I like to find out the kind of music the student listens to, or what they want to get out of playing guitar, and then mold my teaching around that. For instance, if a student or parent wants a formal musical education, I will teach how to read music notes and teach them from a book. If the student wants to learn simple songs and be able to play around the campfire for fun, I make sure to guide the student toward doing just that. *** Studio Equipment *** Dedicated lesson space. Guitars. Music stands. Music books. Seating for parents. *** Travel Equipment *** I provide my own instruments I would require them to have te instrument they want to learn available and the necessary power source and amp if needed. *** Specialties *** Rock country jazz mainly though I know classical music theory as well as counterpoint etc
