I'm a professional guitarist, recording engineer and teacher.  I won 1st place in the 2010 Society of American Musicians guitar competition and I have a passion for teaching students of all age groups and experience levels.  I have a bachelors degree in guitar from DePaul University and a masters from Northwestern University.

I have toured extensively throughout the U.S. and U.K. performing and have taught for over 10 years at Hogeye Music, the Peoples Music School, and CPS schools with a company called Smiling Strings and privately.

Brandon is the best thing since sliced bread! He is  extremely knowledgeable, endlessly patient, calm, kind, and good humored. Brandon enjoys teaching and tailors his crystal-clear explanations to the learning styles and objectives of his students. For example, in my case what really helps is his use of  down-to-earth metaphors to explain and concretize concepts and techniques so that I can understand them better. I am very fortunate to have Brandon as my instructor and I hope  to continue taking lessons from him in the future .
