I am an accomplished musician with over 20 years of music education experience. I hold a Bachelors of Music Education degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where I studied with distinguished masters in all areas of band and orchestra instrumentation; I also pursued advanced study in Music Theory / Composition.
I taught privately and in the public schools, working with students of all ages, & ability levels, including students with special learning / performance needs. I am currently the Principal Tuba with the Aurora Symphony Orchestra in Aurora, Colorado, and perform regularly with athletic bands at the University of Denver. My performance career has covered both concert & marching bands, both large & small, orchestras and brass and woodwind ensembles of all types & sizes.
I teach beginning band for 4th & 5th grade at a suburban elementary school in the Cherry Creek School District.
Performing standard & modern works for concert band, with a section of 5+ tubas.

Responsible for all instrumental music instruction, covering all standard band & orchestral instruments.
