I am an artist - painter, scenic designer and mural artist. I also teach art for more than 10 years. I graduated with a Master Degree in Painting and Scenic Design at Moscow Art School, Russia. Since then I participated in numerous art exhibits in Russia, France, Australia, Italy, and the US, including three solo shows. I worked extensively as a Scenic Designer and accomplished more than 50 designs on Houston theaters scenes. As an art teacher, I love passionate students, whatever they art lovers who seek to understand art from inside and create their own or wish to dedicate themselves to a professional career in Visual Art. Discussions and references to art history, an important part of the class. We are not technicians, we are artists! But the art craft is paramount. I teach different painting media including oil, acrylic, watercolor. As well a drawing media - crayon, charcoal, pastel, etc. Beginners and advanced students are welcome. I also prepare students who dream about Art School and professional career. I have two approaches. With my advice, students choose media, style, subjects and work under professional guidance. Or, I teach the classical path to visual art, which requires a more structured approach. For the first lesson, I provide everything is needed and we discuss what materials we'll need later. For the following lessons, students buy their own materials. At first visit, students should bring samples of their work and (or) photographs of their work if any. I teach classes at my home studio and online.
