I live for helping others find their fullest musical potential. Daughter to a teach and a truck driver, my parents couldn't afford lessons when I was in school. I want to stress that I want those students who are being denied affordable private lessons. You are just as capable of greatness as kids paying out the nose for lessons.

I strongly believe EVERYONE is capable of learning an instrument. We all learn in different ways. Perhaps you tried learning once before and it didn't work out? Don't let that discourage you! You just need the right teaching method.

Cello has been my passion since I started playing in 1994 in NJ. My love for teaching bloomed when my high school music department gave me two hours to teach middle school beginning strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass) every school day, and I have been hooked since! All South Jersey Orchestra several years, and attended West Chester University of PA on scholarship, where I basked in one of the best music education programs in the country.

Autism, disability, all the colors of the gender/human rainbow, and low-income friendly. I want to show everyone they have the potential to make beautiful music! Assistive devices and hacks to make this work are encouraged and can be dreamed up for your needs.

About Bonnie S.

I want YOU to discover the music that's always been inside of you. That nagging voice in the back of your head telling you that you don't have a musical bone in your body is WRONG. Everyone is capable of learning an instrument. It's just a matter of finding the right fit in instrument and teacher. Over the last 20 years, I've had students from all parts of the spectrum start from nothing, and at VERY LEAST leave my classes with the knowledge that YES, they ARE musical! You can do this, and I can help.

My humble beginnings with no money for lessons fuel my need to provide low-cost lessons for others. I believe everyone should be able to realize their full music potential, regardless of financial ability. Our circumstances help define our musical abilities in ways money never could. We might not speak the same language, but music spans all nations and we'll figure it out. Don't let anything get in the way of pursuing your dream of learning an instrument, even if it ends up not being cello! I want you to ROCK :)

Great first lesson! Bonnie offered great beginning tips and encouraging complements. The first lesson book looks very appropriate for my skill level. We did have some connection issues which Bonnie handled very well.
I am energized to practice and work toward my next lesson.

Three Quarter Time

3/4 Time was a string ensemble booked for weddings and other special events. We could retool our arrangements for a number of combinations for trios and quartets. Forced to say goodbye when my husband's job moved us to Colorado from New Jersey. Helped make many happy memories through the power of music!
