Hello there! I see that your interested in learning how to play this wonderful, versatile and fun instrument. I want to help you acjeve that goal. So a little about me... I first picked up the guitar when I was 7 years old; my parents bought one for my brother but he never really got the hang if it. The instrument sat in our bedroom on the Southside of Chicago, gathering dust, until I picked it up. I was intrigued by it's look and it's fine lines. Although it was a little beat up it was just about the prettiest thing I had ever laid eyes on. About that time I was bitten by the music bug and was lucky enough to have lots of older siblings who listened to the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Who and many other still popular bands. I began to teach myself as I figured that, in time, I could replicate the melodies on those records by moving my fingers up and down the fretboard. I was hooked! I never put it down. I sought out anybody who could show me something new. I got better and better and continued to train my ear. I parlayed all of this into playing with rock bands,blues ensembles and country bands. Ive performed live and in the studio, backing up other musicians who were trying to make a name for themselves. My ideas on how to teach someone how to play are a little unconventional but effective. And I still do to this day. It's a project of passion and love for the music that drives me. I look forward to meeting you and finding out how you learn.
