Music Theory with Blake S.

I first started taking Flamenco Guitar lessons in 1990. In 1992 my son was born and I started making up my own nursery songs to sing to him, and this opened a door within my creativity which I did not know existed. I Still could not really play guitar and had to rely upon other musicians when I did an Alternative Country 10 song CD in Nashville,TN. In 2001I started playing seriously and putting chords to my music. I currently have a song book of about 100 original songs which I have written. I had to learn music theory,how to hold a pick,how to finger pick, and how to strum with varying dynamics to add emphasis to the song when it asked for it. I say this "when it asked for it" because in a way I cannot claim that I wrote all of that and then some. I credit my gift of creativity to God because creativity cannot be learned-it is a spiritual gift! I enjoy sharing what I have learned because the joy of watching a student progress is an amazing experience. Be Blessed, Blake
