Overview

Biography:

You need to be taught with the right combination of head and heart. The technique is great, but without feel it's nothing. Virtuosity is great, but without groove it's nothing. The theory is great, but without the soul it's nothing…

**SO....why does any of the above mean anything at all? Because I can cut through the "fluff" and teach you in a very straightforward and easy to understand method what it really takes to get out there and follow your dream!

You need to be taught with the right combination of head and heart. The technique is great, but without feel it's nothing. Virtuosity is great, but without groove it's nothing. The theory is great, but without the soul it's nothing.

No successful artist has ever made it on technique, virtuosity, and theory alone. They ALL, without exception, also have the feel, groove, and soul.

You can learn it, you just have to be exposed to it...a lot, and it's never too late.

I took lessons from Blake several years ago, and was a very demanding student. I already knew how to read music and was schooled in playing other instruments. I was an intermediate guitar player that wanted to be able to sight read/play guitar music, and learn enough licks and blues/rock structure/theory to allow me to improvise guitar solos.
Blake took the time to understand my guitar playing objectives, and tailored lesson plans/assignments to help me achieve them. His music knowledge and guitar playing mastery enables him to teach any playing style or music genre. He can teach songs, chords, leads/licks, tab, reading music, music theory, etc. He truly enjoys the process of helping students succeed, and expanding their love of music. He also makes learning fun! Thanks Blake!

My lesson experience with Blake Aaron has spanned many years and has included more than just guitar! Aside from being a chart-topping Jazz virtuoso on the guitar he is incredible with teaching and demonstrating many many styles of music.

I love music theory as it applies to many instruments and Blake is truly a master. I've worked with him on total arrangements of songs (including entire horn sections !! ) and he is FANTASTIC!

Blake is a Guitarist and a TOTAL Musician...you'll be AMAZED that one person can know all that he does !!!

I took guitar lessons from Blake for about 5 and a half years. He is a fantastic instructor. Immensely talented, knowledgeable, proficient and practicing his craft actively, and a great teacher and communicator. Most teachers will just teach you how to play riffs, licks, and elements of technique and maybe how to play songs all the way through. What I took away from Blake's lessons the most was the THEORY behind music and how it applied to guitar playing. That knowledge has proven itself invaluable over time - music is a language and Blake will teach you how to speak it fluently and in many dialects! I have high praise for him!

Blake was the only instructor my son, Kyle, had from age 10 til he left for college to major in music. He was top of his class and graduated a year early. He now has a successful carrier in music in Chicago and loves what he does for a living.
5 months ago I decided to start taking lessons from Blake just to learn acoustic guitar solely for my own enjoyment and I love it! Blake makes it simple and I'm learning so much that I'm surprising myself and having a great time.
Whether you are serious about guitar like my son or wanting to finally learn to play just for fun I can't recommend Blake more highly than I do.

I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and have been blessed with numerous high-caliber instructors during that time. However, I have finally found a mentor that has taken my playing to a whole new level.

Blake is not only an incredible guitarist, he is the best instructor I've had. Just check out Blake's bio and listen to his music. His teaching range is incredible, music theory to amazing licks of any music and style of play "on the fly". He will design a lesson plan or you can design your own and he'll address all your questions!

I can't imagine he will have many open slots to teach after the word gets out on this site. Book something quick, you will not be disappointed!

Blake is by far the most talented guitar teacher (and globally renowned Guitarist) I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Firstly he is an amazing human, with a gift of relating to people both young and old. He has strong values, is savvy, and gives his students 110% focus to help them learn guitar in any style of music they want (classical, jazz, blues, rock, etc).

Blake can take any piece of music and create a learning program, broken down into learning and skill exercises, allowing his students to learn from actually playing the music they relate to. He can play anything, write the music to anything, and help his students achieve musical prowess.

I was a Blake Aaron student. Our 2 sons were both Blake Aaron students. All of us still play regularly, and truly appreciate working with Blake.

I highly recommend Blake as a guitar teacher for any person, at any level, beginner to advanced.

I took lessons from Blake for about 2 and 1/2 years. It was by far the best investment I have made in my guitar playing. He was able to help me learn in any directions I wished. I was always amazed by the fact that I could bring in a classic rock track, a metal track, a folk track, and a worship track and he would be able to help me with all of them. He helped me correct many errors in my playing and was always super patient during the process. I highly recommend Blake as a teacher and guide. It will be a worthwhile investment.

I personally sat in on two years of lessons my son took from Blake. I was impressed with not only his knowledge, but his patience and ability to relate with young adults. My son really looked forward to his weekly lessons and he learned a lot in his 2 years. I taught piano for 15 years so I have significant experience with teaching music. Blake is truly awesome. And do yourself some additional favors....go hear Blake play live. He is a first rate musician and performer.

Blake and I have worked together for several years on numerous recording and music production projects. I am an Entertainer and Top Level 5 SLS Vocal Coach and have seen his talent at work on many occasions as a gifted Music Producer and Guitarist. He has always been the consummate professional when it comes to his expertise on guitar and his exquisite knowledge of music. He has taken on his role as Guitar Instructor as well, in the same manner, with displaying his diverse styles and organization of topics for those who are learning at every level. Anyone who chooses Blake Aaron as their Guitar Instructor will be at a considerable advantage for their growth in guitar playing and learning how to audition, get the gig, and keep the gig!!

My son and I both took lessons from Blake and he is an amazing teacher. He has a mind blowing knowledge of music and guitar and is a very skilled and talented performer. I looked forward to my lesson each week because on top of all of his talent, and my learning, he is also a fun guy and it was a great time!

Truly, Blake is the most talented person I have ever known.
