Livermore Valley Opera

Livermore Valley Opera visits schools and exposes the young generation to the art of opera. This last year, Livermore Valley Opera visited fifteen elementary schools in the East Bay of northern California.

San Francisco Opera

Billy has enjoyed singing with the San Francisco Opera Chorus and has performed in Götterdämmerung, the final opera of Richard Wagner's Ring Cycle, during the summer of 2018 as well as Billy Budd by Benjamin Britten in the fall of 2019.

San Francisco Opera Guild

Students engage with curriculum in new ways as they bring literature to life through music and theater. Using interpretative skills and their own imaginative voices, they write scenes and songs, design and rehearse their work, and perform for their classmates in a culminating performance.

WILLIAM LAWLEY INC.

Students are provided the opportunity to develop their skills as singers through individual instruction. Through voice lessons, the foundational importance of proper breathing is introduced as well as the importance of a relaxed body, clarity of tone, and an open sound. The lesson is structured around the age of the student, also realizing the style of music that is preferable for the individual singer. Playing the piano is an excellent opportunity for students to develop skills in reading music. Musicality is also encouraged after learning the foundational principles on the piano in progressing as a pianist and musician. If a student does not show a strong interest in reading music, learning to play lead sheets for popular music is also encouraged.

Billy's accolades as an educator include Teacher of the Year for the 2009--2010 school year as well as Director of the All City Elementary Honor Choir in Dallas.
