Qigong

Qigong, or Chi Kung, is a method of learning to balance and strengthen the flow of Chi, or the life force energy, through your body and mind.

I teach a variety of Qigong exercises, from very simple to relatively complex. I take a practical approach to teaching specifically how to perform each movement, and how to combine the principles behind each movement to derive the maximum benefits for your body, mind and energy levels.

Qigong integrates perfectly with meditation to improve mindfulness, expand awareness, and increase mind-body connections. In addition to the health and longevity benefits, Qigong exercises can your body strength, speed and flexibility, give your movements flow, grace and power, and give your mind a calm awareness and heightened perception both inwardly and outwardly.

I teach a mix of students. Some are learning to enhance their flow in other movement arts, or become more mindful, healthy, and relaxed. Some are recovering from injuries and surgeries and using Qigong to regain strength, balance, and range of motion. Others are combatting chronic illness and are using Qigong to increase their energy levels, create a more positive outlook, increase their daily activities, improve their coordination and sense of overall wellbeing.

I teach Tai Chi, Meditation, Qigong, and Ba Gua Zhang. I am a certified teacher since the year 2000, and a practitioner of the internal martial, movement, and meditative arts since 1990.

I teach on-site; privately in your home or gym, or to your group at the office, hotel, conference, or school.

My students have ranged in age from 2 years old to 95 years old. Teaching sites have included: pre-K and early childhood learning schools, senior centers and senior homes, corporate offices, hotels, industry conferences; and boutique gyms, wellness centers and physical therapy offices.

I have also taught ongoing classes, weekend workshops and seminars, and week-long retreats in New York, London, and Frankfurt.

I have been awarded medals in a number of regional tournaments and have been featured in several martial arts magazines.

I am also a certified scuba diver, and an avid world traveler.
