Spanish with Beverley D.

When tutoring, I love seeing a student that just does not get a concept and then they realize that it makes sense and that it just comes naturally. Part of the reason that most students don’t get it is, because they have a mental block, it is too hard, or they believe they just can not do it. This is where the coaching in me comes in, because I can build confidence in students that they can do anything that they put their mind to in order to overcome perceived obstacles. I truly believe that anyone can learn a language. As an undergrad in Spanish, I enjoyed being the Student President and member of the Spanish Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi. I also graduated with the honor of the Mexican Embassy Award for Excellence in Spanish. As a graduate student of teaching students with different needs, I had the opportunity to learn the many different ways that students learn and understood more in-depth the special needs of all students.
