With 30 years teaching experience, I'm friendly and interested in helping my students succeed in learning piano and theory and discovering the joys of playing all kinds of music. I hold a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University. My students participate in 1 or 2 recitals per year and receive awards for doing so. *** Lesson Details *** I'm an understanding, good-natured teacher but I do expect effort put forth by the student to practice and do theory. I try to have fun at the lesson and am patient. I use the Alfred series piano books. After 6 months, students will be playing fun songs with both hands, and know the staff notes. *** Studio Equipment *** Dedicated studio space. Full size upright piano.
