I have always been crafty. As a kid I would make things for my dolls with needle, thread and old fabric. When I hit my teenage years my grandma showed me how to use her old machine to sew an apron and I was hooked. She showed me everything she could remember and I started to self teach myself the rest. So that I could learn even more, my grandma decided to buy me my own sewing machine on the condition that I take a sewing class in high-school. That class taught me so much about sizes and patterns and fabric.
Now I sew costumes and historical garments. I always try to put effort and detail into everything I make. Some of the projects that I am most proud of are:
The firemen costume I made for my husband for Halloween last year. It was made without a original pattern. I took pieces from other patterns to create it.
The corset I made for my little red riding hood costume. It took a lot of effort to get it to fit exactly right. Each measurement had to be precise.
And the 1860's frock coat with historically accurate pattern and fabric.
Whatever you are looking to make, let me give you the ability to make that and more.
