I remember teaching my first group of students at a Montessori School in San Francisco. This was when I was playing with the Oakland Symphony in 1980. I taught group and private lessons and I thought it was great. But I taught more students over the time I was in the Orquesta Sinfonica de Puerto Rico and Festival Casals. I was there from 1985 till 1999 and I taught mostly private lessons. Being there helped me learn spanish and I am bi-lingual now. In my symphonic career I also played with the Toledo Symphony, Florida Orchestra, Symphony of the West Valley (Az.)
