    About Bertina A.

Hi, my name is Bertina and I have been tutoring math for college student since 2003. I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University in the spring of 2007 and started working with students with autism and other disabilities since 2008. In 2010, I started working for a tutoring company helping students achieve their academic goals and improve their test-taking skills in ACT prep. When working with students, I always do my best to develop a really good rapport with the student and to help engage them in a lesson that works around their strengths and weaknesses. I like to focus on both the strengths and weaknesses for the student so that he or she can improve in all areas. I like to develop a positive relationship not only with my student, but also with the parent so that with the communication, we can work as a team and accomplish a great deal more! I look forward to hearing from you soon!
