Hello! My name is Benjamin L. I am a 23 year old musician. I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Jazz Saxophone Performance from The Florida State University. I have studied privately with virtuoso such as Marcus Roberts, Scotty Barnhart, Rodney Jordan, Gary Keller, William Kennedy, William Peterson, and Paul McKee. I have worked as a private instructor for students of all ages and varying skill levels since 2007. As a performer, I have performed over 50 concerts for the Florida State College of Music including a performance at the Lakeside Jazz Festival in 2010, Birth of the Cool (A Tribute to Miles Davis) in 2014, multiple performances in Ruby Diamond Auditorium, as well as performances in small groups with the FSU jazz faculty. I have also performed in traveling classical, jazz, rock, funk, and blues groups in over six different countries with ensembles such as the Concert Band of America, Jazz Band of America, Sound of America, The Florida State Concert Jazz Ensemble, The Heavy Pets, Shoes and Laces, and Group Mentality.
