I studied jazz performance & classical music at USM and studied jazz piano with Charlie Banacos.
I have been teaching since I was 15 through the state's Gifted program and qualified for both gifted in fine arts as well as the general requirement.
I have had great success with many students resulting in some deciding on music as a career and going off to college specifically for piano.
I have had experience teaching people with special needs and also.
Currently I teach at Tune Town in Wells, ME. as well as privately in Sanford and Biddeford, ME. and perform in the greater Portland area. I have a hardwired setup for online lessons so the sound quality and alternate camera angles for talking versus demonstration is as good as it get can in our CoVid learning environment.

I can't rate Ben with 5 stars because he has been the only teacher my daughter has had. I would recommend Ben. He is great with her, she is learning and enjoying playing the piano. Kudos to Ben!!!
