Azle ISD

Continue building studio of clarinet students who attend Azle HS, Azle JH, and Forte JH. Develop curriculum for successful All-Region Auditions, and implementing this curriculum via series of masterclasses. Encourage expedited growth and learning of materials presented during two weeks of summer band camp through intensive sessions with all clarinetists of the Azle HS marching band.

University of North Texas

Coach and teach various sections of undergraduate Woodwind Chamber Music. Schedule weekly rehearsals and coachings. Work alongside university faculty as communications liaison for program.

Northwest ISD

Develop and maintain a studio of clarinetists and bass clarinetists at Byron Nelson High School and its feeder middle schools, Tidwell and Medlin. Build and implement a curriculum specific to individual needs of student--focusing on proper sound and technique development through the use of long tones, scale and articulation exercises, rhythm studies, and prescribed repertoire.

Denton ISD

Grow and maintain studio of middle school clarinet students attending Crownover and Harpool middle schools. Instill fundamental skills and practice habits necessary for continued musical success through weekly lessons.

Arlington ISD

Grow and maintain studio in Arlington High School cluster (including its feeder-schools). Teach clarinet and bass clarinet lessons to all clarinet students at AHS, Bailey JH, Barnett JH, and Gunn JH who are enrolled in lessons through the Arlington Music Education Program (AMEP). Develop curriculum for weekly group lessons at the junior high level.

Lake Dallas ISD

Grow and maintain studio of clarinet students in grades 6-12. Develop and implement curriculum for weekly high school masterclasses/group lessons.

The International Clarinet Association is a community of clarinetists and clarinet enthusiasts that supports projects that will benefit clarinet performance; provides opportunities for the exchange of ideas, materials, and information among its members; fosters the composition, publication, recording, and distribution of music for the clarinet; encourages the research and manufacture of a more definitive clarinet; avoids commercialism in any form while encouraging communication and cooperation among clarinetists and the music industry; and encourages and promotes the performance and teaching of a wide variety of repertoire for the clarinet.

Begun in 1920 as the Texas Band Teachers Association, the Texas Music Educators Association is an organization of over 10,000 school music educators dedicated to promoting excellence in music education. TMEA is comprised of five divisions: Band, Orchestra, Vocal, Elementary and College. On behalf of its members and Texas schoolchildren, TMEA carefully monitors the actions of all state decision-making bodies on issues affecting fine arts instruction in Texas. In addition to many member benefits, TMEA offers professional development opportunities for its members with Region workshops and especially with its annual Clinic/Convention. TMEA supports the future of music education by offering scholarships to music education majors and by sponsoring the Texas Future Music Educators, an organization through which high school students interested in careers in music education learn more about what to expect in their college education and future careers.
