Hi! My name is Benita, and I’m 20 years old! I love playing the violin and have been doing it since I was in the first grade. I’ve had a lot of cool experiences and met some lifelong friends from pursuing my instrument. I’ve even performed on stage with Yo-Yo Ma. I’ll be a fun, and informative teacher that can teach you basic technical skills!

Miss Benita as we call her :) is so good with my 8-year-old daughter. In just 3 lessons they have built a great rapport. Benita is relaxed, reassuring, with a great sense of humor while at the same time imparting great knowledge of the violin to my daughter. I appreciate her welcoming us into her family home even during the pandemic. We felt that in-person instruction would be more desirable than online, and I think that my daughter is learning so much more with our arrangement.
