Acoustic Guitar with Ben V.

Hello! My name is Ben and I am offering music lessons on guitar, electric bass, and mandolin for students of all ages and skill levels. Lessons will be very flexible and based on the goals and interests of the individual. We can work on anything from basic technique, chords, and reading to more involved studies on songwriting, harmony, and soloing/improvisation, depending on your unique direction. We can also work within of a variety of styles including folk, country, rock, blues, jazz, or anything else that interests you. Just a bit about myself: I am 27 years old and recently graduated from Elmhurst College where I studied music and philosophy. Guitar is my main instrument, which I have been playing for 17 years. I have been performing, practicing, and teaching on guitar, mandolin, and electric bass regularly since about 2010. Usually, lessons take place at my home in downtown Palatine, but I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to accommodate in-home lessons.
