Hey there! You know what can be a real downer? Boring music lessons... I've been there and luckily my love of music survived, but that's not where we're going! The early stages of music education are crucial in creating a mindset around playing music that will be a positive experience. So let's make it fun! Don't get me wrong, I've been working as a professional musician for over 12 years and have my degree in Guitar Performance from Musician's Institute. So if you want to dive into the depths of music theory or audition to get into Berklee, I will happily be your guide. If you're looking to learn something new and play a few songs I can help get you there and share some laughs along the way. If you're a parent looking for lessons for your kid, I'm a parent too! I have a 4 year old and a 5 month old. Early childhood development is a specialty of mine and I love kids! I have over 10 years experience teaching guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, songwriting, music theory, and music production. I currently teach here on TakeLessons, as well as in-home lessons in the Los Angeles area to a wide range of students. All ages and skill levels welcome! In addition to teaching, I currently play in a band called DENM and we tour the US and internationally opening for major headlining acts like 311, Dirty Heads, Slightly Stoopid, Wu Tang Clan, Rebelution, Sublime with Rome, and Snoop Dogg.
