Hey! My name is Ben Reiff and I am a professional drummer living in Nashville, TN. I have taught a wide variety of students from children to adults and complete beginners to advanced. Students can expect to see weekly progress in their drumming in many areas such as coordination, technique, timing, phrasing, and overall musicianship. We will cover playing in many different styles as well including, pop, rock, jazz, funk, hip hop, and many different styles of world music. As I am also a songwriter, my teachings often keep a focus on playing drums to best support the song. We will learn about different song forms and how they relate to creating appropriate drum parts. We will also develop strategies to learn many songs at a rapid pace. My credentials include 10+ years of drum experience, playing, touring, and recording with bands/artists including Plevyak, Christian Lopez, and Blake Ruby, 1st Chair All State Drums for MD jazz band, and studying at The Berklee College of music (where I received a scholarship to attend).
