    About Ben M.

Although I've been a professional much of my adult life, it's been only in the last few years that I have become involved with teaching the instrument, and to my happy surprise, I have enjoyed getting to know all my students and helping each of them find the path towards successful improvement and music-making. I had a great teacher in college, and several since, and I'm happy to finally be "paying it forward." My focus with all students is to insure that the student is grounded in the fundamentals of playing the trombone: Breathing, Relaxation, and Articulation, then to becoming a complete musician, performing in an interpretive and expressive manner.
