Guitar with Ben M.

Ben Mesches is a long time guitarist, bassist, and teacher who recently moved to the North Bay from Modesto. He has been teaching lessons since 2010 when he began studying music at the University of Portland and began helping classmates to learn guitar. He completed his BA in Music in 2014 and returned to California, where he has worked as a substitute teacher as well as a private guitar instructor. Ben is a capable teacher for all ages and levels and especially enjoys teaching jazz guitar. His approach with students new to the guitar focuses on making music as quickly as possible while beginning to form a foundation of good technique and knowledge. Ben's main desire is to instill in his students the same love of music that he feels. He likes to focus on teaching students the music that they want to play. He is more than willing to prepare transcriptions and simplified arrangements of songs for students with notice prior to lessons!
