Hi! I'm a professional performer and teacher from Dallas, Texas. I performed in my first musical in 5th grade, and I was hooked! I attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a degree in drama. I have consistently worked at theatres all over the country. Most recently, I performed as Fiona in "Shrek the Musical" and Irene Molloy in "Hello Dolly" with Starlight Mountain Theatre in Idaho. Last year, I performed as Patricia Fodor in “Crazy For You” at Peach State Summer Theatre. Immediately after, I worked with Creede Repertory Theatre, touring the country with an original, two-person musical and bringing theatre to communities who had often never encountered it before. Throughout my career, I have worked with Oklahoma Shakespeare, Dallas Children's Theatre, Sooner Theatre, Garland Summer Musicals, Prairie Fire Children's Theatre, Peppermint Park, Richardson Theatre Center, and Le Theatre De Marionette. I am a theatre performer and teaching artist who is passionate about seeing peoples' lives transformed by this art form. I'm a positive, energetic, genuine, and dynamic leader who is skilled at meeting each student at his or her skill level. I'm a creative problem-solver who loves to use her knowledge and flexibility to adapt her strategies and techniques to every student to help them become the best performers they can be. During my time in college, I taught at a local arts conservatory everything from stage combat to Shakespeare to singing to tap. Since I graduated, I have taught with Christian Youth Theatre, writing original material, casting shows, teaching music and choreography, and giving individual instruction to kids ages 4-12. Last summer, I was the resident education director at Starlight Mountain Theatre where I coordinated instructors and created curriculum for the theatre's summer programs. For the advanced student, I have professional experience in the industry - so I know what the people behind the table are looking for. I can help you craft the perfect, cast-able audition package and develop the skills to get you roles! For the intermediate student, I have rep knowledge and a toolbox of strategies that have helped me achieve success, and I want to share those with you to help you reach he next level of competence. For the beginner student, I love introducing people to the arts! Every student begins somewhere and we will take our time to assess your strengths and weaknesses to help craft a teaching plan specifically for you!
