ESL & TOEFL - I taught English as a foreign language for nine years in Spain and prided myself on my dynamic, fun, and effective classes. I have extensive experience preparing students of all ages to take the TOEFL exam and other English certification exams. I have tons of great activities ready to go to improve your speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, writing, or whatever you need. Reading & Phonics - I recently got my Texas teaching certificate to teach elementary and I'm currently pursuing my masters in bilingual education at SMU. As someone who struggled to learn to read as a child, I am passionate about helping kids overcome the hurdle of learning to read. My masters classes have prepared me well to assess and teach early literacy in using research-proven methods that the kids will find enjoyable.
