My name is Ayşe. I am a Turkish - American opera singer and a voice teacher. After i have graduated from a conservatory in Turkey Opera Performance Department i have furthered my studies in United States . I have coached and worked with the vocal faculty of Mannes College of Music , Westminster Choir College , Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard School of Music. I have sung around 20 lead roles in opera houses in Europe , Turkey and here. I have sung roles like Amneris in Aida of G. Verdi , Carmen in Carmen of G.Bizet , Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni of W.A.Mozart , Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica of G.Puccini , Maddalena in G.Verdi's Rigoletto , Santuzza in P.Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana , Cherubino in W.A.Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro , Dorabella in W.A.Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte , Lucretia in the Rape of Lucretia of B.Britten as many others as well as so many concerts in theatres like New York Lyric Opera , New York Vocal Productions , Opera North in New Lebanon , was a lead soloist in State Opera House in İstanbul and Ankara for years , have sung in festivals in Italy and Belgium and had concerts in Berlin Germany and Austria... But the most important part is i have taught to so many students in different age groups and for different vocal genres as i also like singing jazz , broadway , rock , country.. I am also a very dedicated healer and breath - body work therapist , miyofascial energy release therapist . I have had a very intense education of anatomy , physchology ,physiology and trauma anotomy in the body to understand really what is going on in human body as it is very much related with singing. We are breathing on our blockages and traumas while we are singing mostly. That's why learning something as a technical way does not always lead us to the result if we do not learn how to release the tension and blockages through breath work and through our voice as it also is another form of therapy. Singing is the biggest therapy i believe in life as it can connect us to our feelings in the most heart centered way possible. I believe that singing and teaching singing can save human heart.
