My brand of teaching is the path of self discovery, technical mastery, and while important, is not what makes a musician accomplished or fulfilled. My goal is to instill a deep love of tonality and self expression that not only teaches the skill of playing an instrument but also unlocks the creative potential in the student. *** Lesson Details *** Music is a journey of self discovery, a way to explore the creative side of your personality. As a teacher it is my job to act as a guide to the student, to watch them on their path and to keep them from becoming disheartened. Music is best taught at a pace suited to each student, too much pressure and you will overwhelm them, too little and they will become lazy and bored. a good teacher will know how to teach to the abilities of each student and test their limits only to what they are able to handle. I like to have a relaxed atmosphere where people can feel comfortable. i like to joke around and have fun because musicians play better when they are not stressed and that is the way i am. music is not about achievements or perfecting skill. those things are only the symptoms of a well cultivated attitude. patience and diligence are the keys to finding fulfillment in music. *** Specialties *** Specialize in blues rock styles and classical styles.
