My qualifications include 10 years of piano lessons, ~60 hours of experience as a piano teacher, a scholarship to an intensive piano program, completion of guild, and annual performances. I highly prepare for my lessons and am skilled at working with kids because of my prior experience as a special needs reading instructor. I keep my sessions engaging, tailor them to the unique learning preferences of each student, and incorporate hands-on learning. My lessons resolve around the following keys to success in piano: ear training, note reading, musical theory, technique, composition, improvisation, and practice, practice, practice.
