Music is my passion, and when you've found your passion, you've found your purpose! As a singer and a teacher, I specialize in Rhythm and Blues, (R&B), Jazz, Pop, Gospel, Indie, and Country Music and I am able to help students excel in these areas. I am very easy going, patient and excited about strengthening the voice and how the voice works. At the tender age of 3, I was the youngest to sing with the adults in a concert. Since then, I knew that singing was something I was going to do for the rest of my life. At age 7, I started playing piano and guitar. At the age of 12, I formed a group in high school and started teaching the group about the importance of learning different harmony and using the vocal chords. At ages 13 through 16, I took guitar and voice lessons and I have been mastering the art of teaching voice lessons for many years and ear training. Being a resident of New York for many years, I taught vocal lessons from 1992 to 2003 to kids, teens, main choir and a group of 12. I have sung all over the tri-state area in New York and our group have sung at many different events from the songs of the late great Whitney Houston, Adele, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and much more. I will teach you the joy of having the art of the great singers, but simply, being yourself. Even though, I pursued both my Undergraduate and my MBA in Finance, I never lost my first love. I was always strengthening my voice and teaching the art of music at church or with friends. As a current resident of Florida, and the Vocal Director at my local church, I am excited to bring the very best to my students and to take their voices to the next level through breathing support and vocal techniques. Whether you just want to improve on your vocal ability, or as a hobby, starring in your local talent show, or auditioning for the big stage, my goal in teaching is: "If singing is your dream, then you should make it a reality!" *** Lesson Details *** I am a very supportive, easy going, patient and laid back teacher. I also believe that what you put in, you will get out. The one thing I can guarantee, is that you will have fun in each session and each lesson will be something you will walk away remembering. My main focus for each student, is to meet them where they are. Each person is different and develop at their own pace. My goal is to make you confident that what you love is what you should be doing and to make your voice stronger while accomplishing this goal. *** Travel Equipment *** Travel with my own keyboard for vocal training.
