Audrey Pride is an accomplished violinist and teacher. A native of the greater Cincinnati area, she attended the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying violin performance with Mark Kaplan. Upon graduation, she was accepted on full scholarship to attend Northwestern University in Evanston IL, completing her masters degree in violin performance studying with Blair Milton. During her time in Chicago, she was also a member of the competitive training orchestra of the Chicago Symphony, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Her experiences in the Civic Orchestra, as well as summer training programs both national and international, fostered her love of orchestral music, and she has been fortunate to work with many of the world’s leading conductors.

Upon completion of her master’s degree, Audrey moved back to Ohio and won her first professional violin position playing with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. During her time in Dayton, she was an integral part of the DPO’s education program, serving as violin instructor in its after school program, Q the Music. Her rewarding and challenging experiences in this program cultivated her passion for teaching, and her work there with students of diverse backgrounds challenged her to find paths to continually motivate students, while also finding creative and fun ways to introduce new musical concepts.
With a background and training in the Suzuki Violin Method, Audrey firmly believes Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy that all students are capable of reaching their highest potential.

In the fall of 2018, Audrey auditioned for and won a full time playing position in the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. There, she is able to combine her love for orchestral performance with her passion for music education by performing interactive and engaging quartet programs in classrooms across East Tennessee.
