Greek with Athanasia M.

Hello, My name is Athanasia and I have a true passion and care for teaching. I hold a Bachelor's in Fashion Design from Illinois Institute of Art. I took drawing and painting courses at a French art school when I was living in Greece. Through my work I was taught the power of communication. I have won twice an award from the Chicago Fashion Group Competition and I was chosen by the Air France Competition to participate in fashion shows in New York. I also exposed my work in Merchandise Mart. My native language is Greek and in Greek school I was majoring in Ancient Greek and Modern Greek Literature. The last 10 years I work as a private tutor teaching Greek to all levels and ages, sewing, pattern making, draping, fashion illustration and portfolio preparation; the last mainly with high school and college students. The last seven years I also work with elementary and middle school students and know how to motivate them learning and encouraged them to live up to their true potential. As a mother of three, I know very well how to intervene with challenging student behavior. I am committed to providing the highest quality in teaching and to help my students to develop their confidence.
