I have for the past twenty-two years been working as
a Music Educator, Administrator, Jazz composer and performer". The last ten of
those years I have been in the San Francisco Bay area. I have been responsible
for teaching, developing music curricula and programs in Oakland, Chicago
and in Boston.  In addition, I have toured the world performing Jazz and other styles of music with various bands, taught upright and
electric bass privately, and have released two CD’s of original
compositions. “I am very much interested in broadening my experience as an
educator and giving my students the best all around music experience.”

I hold a Master's Degree in Music Composition
from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor's Degree in Music
Performance from Chicago State University. I continued to perform professionally throughout the
U.S. and overseas. My areas of interest include Jazz composition and performance,
music theory, music production, Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Rock and Reggae.  While pursuing my education I had the opportunity to study with Dave Holland, Malachi Favors of the Art
Ensemble of Chicago, John Lockwood, George Russell, creator of the Lydian
Chromatic Concept of tonal harmonization and most recent with the five time Grammy award winning bassist Victor Wooten.
