Violin with Assunta B.

My name is Assunta but I also go by the nickname Susan. I am Italian, I started playing Violin at the age of 13. I was a member of the Naples Chamber Orchestra and a member of the Naples Philharmonic Side by Side program. I won the recipient of first place and winning medal for state competition. I work as a freelance graphic artist for the Atlantic Classical Orchestra as well as a teacher at Key To Music in Port St. Lucie. My students have won several awards and were able to achieve first chair in their orchestras at their school. One of my students also played for the mayor of our city. I also have taught young adults with autism. I celebrate every moment of learning with you. And help you when you are not feeling your most confident. We will unlock the secrets of the violin together. Several years ago I started to learn to play the cello. I wanted to know what I’m putting my students through as I am becoming the student of a different instrument. I also enjoy painting and have a variety of art displayed throughout the city. I won third place out of 122 submissions for one of my paintings to go on the traffic boxes at the new Crosstown Bridge. On Sundays you will find me volunteering in the church choir playing my violin (and cello on holiday functions). On occasion I play my violin at weddings as well or also help out the Academy Orchestra with their concerts which included a documentary for a tribute band named In the Light of Led Zeppelin and A tribute band for the Beatles. We played at a sold out show in Delray Beach for Beatles on the Beach. I will teach you all I know about this amazing instrument the violin. My goal is that I want you to become better than me and have fun playing. Therefore I let you decide what music you would like to play. If you love the music you are playing chances are you are more passionate to learn that song and the violin will come easy.
