Hello, I am Ashley! I have been teaching music for about 20 years. I have been singing since I was a little girl in my father's church. Yes, I started out in the church and still sing in church. I received by Music degree with a concentration in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance in 2012 at Point University. In 2019 I began traveling to Africa teaching music and developing music departments. I continue to do this work with my non-profit organization. When I am not singing, I enjoy watching movies, traveling and spending time with my friends. I enjoy teaching and helping each student set realistic goals to work towards. Let's work together and enjoy the journey of exploring music! *** Lesson Details *** Each curriculum is based on the needs of each student. Consistency is always best when working towards a goal. I set a goal for each student on their weekly lesson plans. I focus on vocal health as well as techniques. Learn music in different genres such as musical theater, classical, Christian/Gospel and pop. You can also learn how to read music. *** Studio Equipment *** Lessons are online. *** Specialties *** I believe in keeping each student involved in each lesson. Therefore, I use methods such as the Orff method to bring creativity and motivation to the students. I specialize in belting, breath support, breath control and vocal health. I can teach many genres but I specialize in gospel, christian contemporary, musical theater and classical.

Ashley is a great voice teacher!!! I was looking for vocal lessons for my daughter (middle school). Ashley is wonderful! She works very well with my daughter and makes her feel comfortable. She is very patient and has brought things out in my daughter I didn't know she had in her! She is now a lot more confident in her singing abilities and I see her using the techniques that Ashley has taught on her own now. Ashley also encourages my child to be well-rounded as far as music is concerned by challenging her to learn different music genres. As a singer myself, it is very rewarding to see my child grow like she has. Awesome voice teacher!
