Public speaking can seem scary, but it doesn't have to be! With practice and a few pointers, you can relax and start having fun with your presentations. My background in public speaking began with competed as part of the Speech Team throughout highschool and acting in plays. Now as a professional engineer, I continue using those skills in my career by giving presentations and in networking events. I also quite often speak to large groups through my volunteer work. Public Speaking is a skill that will continue helping you throughout your career and life.

Since graduating, I have tutored various subjects with Varsity Tutors (online platform) and have tutored both in person and online for learners ranging from elementary age to adults working towards a Masters degree. I serve as the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) NDSU section Counselor, a position I volunteered for in 2014, providing a link between college engineering students and the professional world. Other volunteer work includes teaching sessions at Expanding Your Horizons. This is an event to introduce middle school girls to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields.

I've tutored students ranging from 10 to 40 in a variety of subjects. The most common subjects have been High school algebra, chemistry and college algebra. This has included experience tutoring both online and in-person. I have tutored many students in elementary math as well as engineering students and those preparing for the FE or PE exams.
