Teaching since:
2015

Hey, there! My name is Ashley, and I am currently a college student at Fordham University at Lincoln Center! I have been training on the alto saxophone for upwards of ten years, and have received numerous honors within my county, region, and state. I have been teaching since 2015, and my students, too, have gone on to earn top chairs within their ensembles. I trained as an assistant music teacher in Virginia during the 2015-2016 school year, as well as as a counselor at a music camp at James Madison University. I am most suited to teach beginners or early-intermediate level students, so whether you're preparing for an audition, or you've never opened your case before, I'm here to help! My style of teaching is very goal-driven, so that I can cater my skill set to my client's to engender a positive, stimulating experience. I find such joy in sharing my love for music, and look forward to doing so with you or your student!

My five lessons with Ashley was fruitful and productive. She takes time out to come up with a lesson plan. She also emails me a summary of the lesson after every lecture. With Ashley’s help I was able to improve my embouchure and expand on my ability to read and write music. I highly recommend you give her a try.
