In addition to Test Prep, I have been teaching English and Math online for almost two years. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and motivating them to reach their academic and life goals. Currently an EF Education First Teacher, I tutor one-on-one English sessions online as well as conversational English classes ranging from two to seven students. Since January 2016, I have taught 982 one-on-one lessons and 132 conversational lessons: in the last eighteen months, I have averaged 4.74/5.0 student rating for conversational classes and 4.93/5.0 for one-on-one classes. It’s truly phenomenal to meet people from all over the world and to learn about their culture. A Texas Certified Special Education Teacher, I am passionate about creating individualized lessons and sharing personalized learning strategies. My teaching philosophy can be summarized by Dr. S Radhakrishnan’s axiom, "The true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves." One of my greatest joys is empowering students to use logic and reasoning in every area of their life. I tutor with enthusiasm, patience, and structure. My lessons are planned in advance with great detail to maximize learning and encourage tutor-student discussion. In sessions, I offer immediate, constructive feedback and verbal praise, as well as, step-by-step instruction and guided and independent practice. As a tutor, I enjoy building positive relationships with my students encouraging them to have fun as they learn!
