I am a Senior Choral Education major at Northern Arizona University in my last semester. I come to the Valley every weekend to teach private voice, specializing in classical, choral, and musical theater vocal technique. My teaching philosophy for voice is to begin with classical training, to teach the voice to sing in a healthy way that will teach my students healthy habits throughout their lives as vocalists. Vocal healthy is critical and teaching students to sing healthily in my main goal. I also believe that teaching voice lessons means to make musicians, not singers. I try to teach my students basic music theory, tonal memory, and sight singing to help them be well-rounded musicians with a variety of skills.

My name is Ashley and I am a Senior at Northern Arizona University,  studying Music Education. I have studied voice with some of the top teachers in the state for the past four years and continue to do so. I have been in choir since I was a child and am in advanced ensembles at the university level. I have also been in the chorus of two operas; Le Nozze di Figaro and Trial by Jury. This summer, I was music director of Beauty and the Beast Jr. at Arizona Broadway Theater. I have a passion for teaching voice and have a small studio in the Valley, compromised of five students at the moment but I'm looking expand. I look forward to working with you!
