Ashland E. is available for in-studio and limited online piano lessons. Ashland has been playing piano for well over 20 years and teaching since 2011. She teaches all experience levels from beginner to advanced. Ashland also has experience with teaching students with special social disabilities and needs.
Ashland attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana where she earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Piano Performance. She also received her Master's in Piano Performance Pedagogy from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ashland has also studied music in Florence, Italy.
Ashland is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for women and Music Teacher's National Association.
Aside from being a piano teacher, Ashland is a skilled accompanist. She has accompanied musicals, college voice classes, choirs, and student performances.
Lessons are scheduled to best fit the student's schedule when possible. Students receive one on one instruction in piano and will also work on theory, rhythm, ear-training, and performance practice. Ashland's goal is to not only teach her students the notes but give them the knowledge to think beyond the notes.
