My name is Asher Brown. I hold a dual degree in songwriting and guitar performance from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. I have been teaching lessons since 2012, and performing professionally since 2014 on the East Coast and in the Midwest.
I am formally trained in acoustic guitar, fingerstyle guitar, songwriting, and music theory, and ready to share with you what I know!
In addition to working full-time as a musician, I work part-time as a crisis counselor in the state of Iowa, and have extensive training and experience in working with people of all backgrounds. I welcome diversity and am excited to work with you.

Since graduating from College, I have been self-employed full-time as a singer/songwriter. I have performed extensively all throughout the East Coast and Midwest.
I have been providing private lessons to students of various backgrounds and skill levels since 2012.
In addition to working as a musician, I work part-time as a crisis counselor in the state of Iowa. This means I am able to interact calmly and professionally with people under stress, or who are emotionally struggling. This talent translates into teaching music quite well, as I create a calm and nurturing environment for students to learn.
