I have experienced improvement in my confidence after 5 lessons with Arlys as compared to a decrease in confidence after working with another instructor for near one year (not a TL instructor). I now realize the ability to sing and play piano does not automatically equate to the ability to teach and most especially, the ability to teach someone who was not born a natural singer (such as myself). Arlys is that instructor that embraces where you are and understands the anatomy of the vocal instrument and the science behind making beautiful music (no matter your skills or lack-of). Arlys brings to the table a multitude of experiences that support her teaching style and learning for students with diverse singing backgrounds or no singing background. In a recent session with Arlys, I was introduced to "rock star monitor" which after incorporating it into our lesson, was a boost to my confidence and performance. Arlys is one of my favorite 5 instructors and the only one I am working with one-on-one at this time. I look forward to each lesson and hope she will continue with this teaching platform for a long time to come.

I first met Ms. Arlys on the Take Lesson and after just listening to her structure in how she was teaching, I know right then and there she was the kind of teacher I was looking for in help me find my own sing voice and not to mimic a singer but to find your own voice, my first was awesome and wait until I can explore more of her techniques.

Arlys was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she help with with speech delivery, tone, speed, pitch, etc but she took time out to get to know me personally to get an idea of my personal goals as a public speaker.

She took my information and helped me formulate a plan according to my needs. She took my old presentation and helped me to change it to make it far more powerful and compelling. My presentation went from mediocre at best, to a solid well accepted presentation. In fact, when my presentation was done, I had two separate decision makers ask me to present with their companies.

Arlys is great and very professional voice/singing teacher. I had a voice surgery and was having challenges singing without pain, my range was also limited. After taking lessons with Arlys, it has just been so much joy singing and Arlys has a very personalized way to teach! Now, I have no pain, I have wider range of singing, and my control over singing has expanded. I wouldn’t go back to sing the old way again! In addition, Arlys is very professional and I always feel like the 60 minutes of lesson is fully utilized unlike some other lessons I have taken. I have been taking voice lessons with Arlys since February 2017 and have noticed significant improvement in my singing and speaking voice, which is really something for me because my voice quality was not very good to begin with. Arlys is skilled, knowledgeable, patient, creative(thinks outside the box), and very professional. Definitely several points above average-I would highly recommend her as a teacher!

Arlys gave me my first singing lesson in a group class for vocal warmups. She's an excellent instructor and takes the time to explain not only the exercises, but how the voice works and where the sound should be coming from. Arlys is an amazing teacher and human being. I am 45 and was so afraid of singing as I had been shamed as a 13 year old in choir by the teacher that I ended up only mouthing the songs for the rest of the year and had not sang a lick in public since. I really enjoy singing but my shame and fear of being horrible and off key kept me from singing at parties, holidays and even in front of my husband. I still do not have the courage to sing in front of him yet but heck, this is just lesson 1. Arlys made me feel at ease and taught me that I do have a voice that wants to come out. I found her personality to be so infectious! And she taught me warmup techniques I have never seen despite being in choir virtually my whole life. I love that she has a dance background and places such an emphasis on knowing your body. I think she's a great human being as well as a gifted teacher, and I highly recommend her!

Ms. Arlys is a great teacher! She always keeps me engaged and makes all lessons interesting and full of knowledge that I can learn. Additionally, she honed my persuasive speech skills, helping me project my voice, talk in the correct tone of voice, maintain eye contact with my audience, and flow when I speak. I had no formal or informal voice training before taking lessons with Arlys. I knew I was at a point where my voice had to improve if I wanted to continue leading in a musical setting. And I knew that if I was going to take voice lessons, I would go with the best instructor possible.

It was clear to me right away that Arlys was the best choice I could have made for an instructor. I noticed a difference in the way I sang the day after the first lesson. By the third lesson, the way I sang was completely transformed. Now I can hardly describe how much my voice has improved from day one.

Arlys is an absolutely fantastic teacher. She really makes you feel okay in your skin, and encourages you to step outside your own boundaries and really find ways to truly improve your vocal performance. I still use exercises she taught me in the lesson pack I bought. She will be with you every step of the way with words of encouragement. You will take something away from working with her.

My English is not perfect but she knows how can she get what you mean :) She's patient, has good technique, and an outgoing personality. I highly recommend!! So far I've only had 3 lessons with her but I booked a few more so I can continue to grow as a dancer. I am so glad to chose her. I am so thankful her to make me fell better.

I am very pleased with Arlys' & her vocal teaching skills , She is very experienced at what she does & the techniques she uses to teach me & after each lesson I notice enhancements in my voice , I started doing karaoke 10 months ago with no teaching skills , I started vocal lessons last April , switched my teacher to Arlys' last fall & I am so satisfied with her & each time I go out singing now I get so many compliments , She is very knowledgeable at what she does & I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vocal coach !!!

Best voice lessons

My 12 year-old youngest daughter started voice lessons with Arlys last summer 2013 and she fell in love with it since. So, I joined two months ago, then my husband joined days after me. We are having so much fun learning to sing. Arlys is so amazing and so fun to be around. She has tons of patience. When we sing, she can hear our voices coming from the side of our cheeks or from our nose. I never knew this until I started taking voice lessons. It is so amazing to learn how to breath properly and to control our voices. We are so thankful that we found her. She is not just a voice teacher, she helps us learn to relaxed and have fun with learning. I hope that Arlys continues helping others enjoy singing. I also believe that if I can sing anyone can too.

Great Vocal Coach

I am glad that I chose Arlys as my vocal coach. After the first couple lessons, I feel the difference in my voice. I am able to connect my diaphragm with my singing. I am so excited and looking forward to improve my voice further more. Amazing Teacher! Easy to understand, fun, and fast improvement!

I've had quite a few singing teachers in the past and have always had a lot of trouble understanding a lot of the concepts - the voice is very hard to visualize. It can be frustrating.

With Arlys it's different. She has a way of using metaphors, simile, and simple and fun exercises to get you to effortlessly understand and be able to perform the technical aspects of singing. I've been singing with her for a year now and have drastically improved my range, mix, tone, pitch, and confidence. I never thought I'd ever get this far.

I highly recommend Arlys for any other beginner/intermediate students such as myself that are passionate about singing but are hesitant.

I take lessons online through Skype from Abroad, and she always does her best to make sure our lessons work with my schedule. The teaching environment is as good as it gets for online lessons.

better singing progress!

I think the singing lessons with Aryls are amazing! I can feel and hear my voice getting fuller and louder and my self feeling more confident as I sing. The lessons are also versatile because I can apply them to singing but I can also apply to my own talking voice. She makes singing fun but at the same time, she takes teaching me seriously. What's especially helpful is, since I'm a science person, she explains the science behind the voice, which helps me look at the voice on a whole different level. I would definitely recommend her to anybody, as I have had a lot of progress with her.

Arlys is an exceptional and knowledgeable teacher. Our online lessons take place once a week and are 30 minutes long. With her help, I was able to make significant progress even with zero time for extra practice at this time in my life. She is always supportive and gives advice based on my own case — she truly listens to my concerns. After a few months (with very little independent practice) I feel confident singing around other people, something I wasn't sure I would overcome! I am finally ready for my first karaoke! She has also helped me prepare for a speech at work. I find her knowledge of science very informative and her voice relaxation techniques often work to relax the whole body and mind. Love it!

AMAZING Teacher

There are so many good things I could say about Arlys. I came to her with only a few weeks to prepare for an audition and with no previous lesson experience. In only the four and a half hours she taught me, I feel like it made a huge difference. She has wonderful teaching techniques that she learned professionally, but she's also wonderful at learning along the way. She work with you and suddenly there's a whole new way she finds to teach you. She seems to learn from every lesson she teaches and is so obviously enthusiastic about what she does. Even outside of our lessons, she did a bit of research into my audition song to try and find a way to make it easier to learn. She even called me after my audition to see how it went.
Her wonderful teaching skills aside, she's also great at making you feel comfortable. I went to her full of anxiety and within the first few minutes I was immediately comfortable around her. She also was able to teach me an amazing meditation technique that's not only calming but also makes you more alert, something none of my therapists for my anxiety were able to do.

In short: She knows what she's doing, she learns along the way, she's so easy to relax around, and she shows a great deal of care for her students.

As a result of our lessons my voice has quickly transformed from struggling to stay in key and hitting notes to a strong and confident instrument to accompany my guitar playing. Effective and Fun!

I am a woman in my 40s with very little formal vocal training. I sing very part time in a cover band (mostly 80s & 90s rock). I have had weekly half-hour singing lessons with Arlys for the past 16 weeks. In just this short time, I have experienced a dramatic transformation in my voice and confidence. I have learned how to warm-up my voice, stand and breathe correctly, form vowel sounds to enhance pitch and tone, transition more easily through chest and head voice, and I have added at least 4 notes to the upper end of my “performance range.” My stamina has increased as well. I can now easily sing without tiring or vocal fade-out for 90 minutes or more. Arlys’ strengths are her knowledge of how anatomy affects the voice, her ability to explain techniques in a variety of ways (so that at least one of them clicks for me), a prodigious sense of humor, flexibility, and a passion for both teaching and her own continuous learning. Arlys is delightful, and I wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone who wishes to sing better, especially shy singers, young people, and those who need to know “why” or “how” something works.
