    About Arlenne N.

Teaching is a work of heart. Teaching American Sign Language is my passion and it is my call to teach students the beautiful language and to educate students about Deaf culture and history. My name is Arlenne, and I love to teach. I was born Deaf to the Deaf parents, and I am the baby sister of the five Deaf sisters. My first language is Puerto Rican Sign Language [PRSL], which is completely different from American Sign Language [ASL]. When I was nine years old, I learned my fourth language, ASL. Growing up, I enjoyed learning new sign languages, and I still do. :) I have a Master's Degree in Teaching American Sign Language through the University of Northern Colorado. Each lesson is provided to my client based on their needs and goals. My goal as a teacher is to teach you to learn how to carry conversations with other users of ASL, build a deeper understanding of the language, and learn about Deaf Culture as well as history. I would love to get to know you better and share my love for American Sign Language with you! Send me a message and let's get started! Best, Arlenne
