I began my musical studies at the age of six, starting off in my elementary school orchestra and chorus. A passion and talent for the violin led me to placing in competitions and festivals, and performing professionally in quartets and at wedding ceremonies later in high school. I began performing in rock 'n' roll bands in 2008, and began a teaching career in 2009. My students and students' parents have praised me for my musicianship, patience, and compassion. I am also an operatic soprano and musical theater musician, thus making me a diverse and well-rounded instructor. I teach in the traditional style, combining some Suzuki elements. For beginning voice lessons, we will focus on vocalizes, theory, and appropriate repertoire. I take a different approach to every student, realizing that not everyone learns the same, and that what may work for one student will not work for another. I am dedicated to assisting the musicians of the future. I firmly believe that being performer assists me in my teaching, because I can give my students the benefit of my performance knowledge and experience, preparing them not only for school concerts and NYSSMA festivals, but also other arenas, such as performing with rock musicians or in theater pits to earn extra cash after high school. I enjoy working with all ages, 3-83. I'm excited to meet you and assist you with the adventure that is learning classical violin! My students have also been recipients of several scholarships and awards.

My other operatic roles include Ida and Adele in Die Fledermaus, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Juliette in Romeo et Juliette. I have sang with The New York Lyric Opera Theater in NYC. Jonathan, my 12-year-old stepson had his first lesson yesterday with Arielle. I was very impressed with how she handled his shyness. She was very positive and motivational with him!
My son loves taking music lessons so much he is now learning two instruments. I am always in awe when I hear him play. Arielle has done an amazing job teaching my son in an atmosphere he enjoys.
I am very happy with Arielle. She knows how to transition her teaching skills for adults.
I'm a former music major and I have performed with several bands throughout my life on guitar, harmonica, and vocals. I recently decided to take up an instrument that I studied for a very short time as a child - violin. I've had lessons for about six months now with Arielle, and will continue to study with her for some time. She is an excellent teacher, and at a very reasonable cost, especially compared to others.
She teaches every single detail of what I should know about playing violin, supplied a really helpful textbook to me, and each lesson is great fun, not dull work for a beginner. I really appreciate that.
If someone is expecting to have an effective and pleasing learning experience, just go ahead and work with Arielle. It is absolutely worth the time and effort.
Arielle is a wonderful teacher and takes into consideration the different learning styles for her students. She makes you feel very comfortable and we also even laugh together. She is very respcectful and appreciative of different vocal styles and genres and caters different vocal techniques to your personal style. Can't say enough nice things about her.+ Read More
Ari is sweet and kind, honest and goal-setting. My former teacher told me I could be on "American Idol." While this is nice to hear, I felt like something was lacking from the lessons. I went to Ari and she told me that although I had a beautiful voice, I had to work on my breath support. We have set realistic goals together and now I feel much better about my technique!! Thanks Ari!+ Read More
Arielle is a fantastic teacher. She truly listens to me and to my unique needs as a voice student. She customizes every vocalese for my individual sound. They aren't just generic "vocal warm-ups." My voice is healthier than it has ever been.
Excellent string teacher. Really helped me with my NYSSMA solo and was willing to help me with other repertoire too.
Arielle works extremely well with children. My daughter is shy, but she looks forward to her lesson every week. She also loves the studio recitals.
Ari has a beautiful voice and she has really helped me with my breath support and overall vocal technique to become a better singer.
Wonderful results, and a lot of fun!
If you're looking for someone to start the violin with, look no further than Arielle D. She can start you from the ground up, even if touché never read or played music a day in your life. She will try different approaches if the standard book stuff isn't working. She's also great with scheduling, very easygoing with make-up lessons. She also made me feel very comfortable and relaxed during my lessons.
