I'm a vocalist originally from San Francisco, California. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Santa Clara University and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands. I have taught music and voice for the past eight years. I work with each student's individual timbre, helping them release tension, improve technique, and develop confidence. Through it all, I try to instill joy in the practice.
I have taught a variety of levels and styles. I did student teaching in London, England, started a choir and music education program in Suchitoto, El Salvador, taught Kindergarten through 5th grade music in the Bay Area, California, and served as the Ear Training Lab instructor at the University of Redlands.
Performance has been a part of my life from a very early age. I sang with the Grammy winning ensemble the San Francisco Girls Chorus for eleven years, and was involved in musical theatre with the San Francisco Arts Education Project. I have performed with such groups as the San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, Opera Cultura, and the Lyric Theatre of San Jose.
While my focus is in classical singing, I believe all styles benefit from having a solid technique. I work with all levels, Beginner to Advanced. If you are looking to improve your technique and musicality, and have fun while doing it, send me a message! I look forward to working with you!
She is the best person I could of ever had. She has helped me progress so much with my singing voice and has made me a better musician and person. She is extremely sweet and knows her material. I would highly recommend her.
Ariel and I have worked together professionally for 5 years now. As a pianist I have collaborated with her on numerous projects including working together with choirs, accompanying Ariel for auditions, recording music together, and teaching in music classroom settings. Ariel is amazing with all age groups, from young children through adults. She is incredibly talented, passionate about music, and her energy and positive, fun approach to music is infectious. She will inspire you and teach you so much! If you are able to coordinate lessons with Ariel you are fortunate and will not only meet a wonderful musician but a wonderful person too.+ Read More

Ariel is phenomenal. She helped me deliver voice lessons and coaching for choir members of the ensemble I direct--she was popular both amongst the 3rd graders in the ensemble and working professionals. In addition to having a stunning classical voice, she also has humble, positive attitude that helps students feel safe and comfortable. She also has a great sense of humor and combines that with solid vocal technique to help get results in a spirit of encouragement and support. Finally, her knowledge of repertoire across both classical and contemporary contexts makes it easy for her to help find pieces that are good matches for students. Highly recommended!+ Read More
Such a great teacher! I had never experienced a singing lesson before so I was pretty nervous. It didn't take more than 10 seconds before I felt completely comfortable thanks to Ariel's fun energy and warm spirit. The lessons were sooo helpful and super fun!+ Read More
Ariel has know me since I was about 6-7 years old, growing up I watching her perform and I was always amazed, she was certainly a role model for me. Fast forward some odd 11+ years to she and I both working together to help mold the minds, and voices of young talented choristers. She’s amazing with kids, all the girls adored her, and with good reason. She’s great at making every single kid feel special and important. Her voice, range and energy are unparalleled and studying with her will likely be the most fun your child has in a music class!!!+ Read More
Ariel's such a great instructor. I was a bit nervous to take lessons at first (I'm an untrained vocalist who sings in a rock band) but her wonderful personality and teaching style made it fun! She's helped me so much. And best of all, now I'm not blowing my voice out every show :) If Ariel can help me, she can help anyone! A true professional.+ Read More
Ariel is the best!!! She did an amazing job working with a group of students to create a song, they all understood what went into a song (melody, lyrics, hook) all while having so much fun doing it!! It was cool to see and be a part of (:
