In 2012, while attending American River College in Sacramento, CA, Arend auditioned and was chosen to be in the Piano Program for music major students. He studied Music Theory with Dr. Joseph Gilman. His piano instructor was Professor Tatiana Scott, a well-known professor and teacher who taught him the studies of ear training and melodic dictation. During his years at American River College, he auditioned and was chosen three times to perform with ARC Orchestra for the Concerto-Aria Competition. At ARC he earned his A.A. degree in Music and will continue on with his Music education at CSU - Sacramento earning his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance.
Alfredo is just 7 years old, and he was so excited. Arend did a great job, encouranging and reviewing and giving him information he could understand , so he was able to actually play what he was reading. I am the grandma and his parents were there. We all loved the teacher and the lesson. Great Job Arend.
When we left and were walking to the car, Alfredo was on cloud nine, dancing and posing. Super excited to continue classes with Arend.
Arend is a marvelous piano player. He has such an amazing command of music. Music seems to flow from him effortlessly.
