Whether you're a brand new player or looking to take your skills to the next level, I want to help you get there!

My name is Anthony Torres and I'm a violinist and guitarist based out of Pasadena, California and I've been a musician for over 17 years. Now I also write music, sing, and play other instruments like Bass Guitar, Cajon, Harmonica, and Ukelele. I've played with orchestras, church worship teams, live bands, and have recorded in studios in my career and I love to geek out about bands, music theory, and music production. But most importantly, I love to teach others and see their amazement when they start to sound like the music in their head. I want to inspire and enable you to do just that!

Anthony is sincere and genuine. My daughter has stopped learning violin for over 18 months, it takes courage for her to pick up the instrument again. Anthony shows patience and she enjoys her lesson very much.

Anthony is warm and engaging, taking genuine interest in each person he meets. Combine that with his high level of musical talent and his ability to communicate it to others, and you have an excellent teacher on your hands! I am a former teacher who now runs a tutoring company. Having been in the Education sector for more than a decade, I know just how rare teachers like Anthony are.

I've known Anthony for many years. I watched him learn his instruments over the years and have always been amazed at his natural musical ability. And as a teacher, with his high degree of patience, his caring personality, and his attention to detail, students are being drawn to him as he helps the fall in love with music just as he did. I can't recommend him enough! Thank you Anthony!

While I have not personally studied music with Anthony, I have collaborated with him as a fellow church band member, watched him perform in other contexts, and have also sat under and benefited from his teaching outside the area of music. As a professional musician myself, and knowing Anthony's personality, his professionalism/positivity in his work, his way with children (his own and others), his solid musicianship, and his creativity, I highly recommend him as a music teacher for adults and children alike, particularly for beginning and intermediate students who love music enough to work at it! Anthony will help you grow. The only reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 is because I have not personally observed him teaching in private studio. But I have full confidence in him based on our other frequent interactions.

Anthony is such a wonderful music instructor! What I loved most was his patience and ability to show me a technique in a way that I could understand and be successful at. He's very encouraging and gets me so excited about learning something new. His lesson plans are well structured and easy to follow for the week. Overall great guy who makes it easy to ask questions and learn something that would normally be intimidating for most people.
