BASS GUITAR 

I have made my living as a professional bassist for over 50 years. I raised my family, and was on tour a total of 10 years playing the bass guitar. 
I will tell you for sure, everyday was fun.  The bass is  the glue, the groove, the harmonic structure of a band.
I am looking forward to teach the bass from beginners to advanced.  
Learning the fingering, the plucking and slap techniques in the lessons can only equal the most  important element of  a bass guitar musician,  that is  keeping  the groove.  I will tell you  first  hand, that it is fun.
It took  me only  3 months  of  learning  the bass  and I was  gigging.  It can be done!
I  am open  to all  styles; jazz, pop, funk, hip hop, Latin, R&B and  more.   

Throughout the years, I have played  bass  for  celebrities,  top 40 bands,  jazz  concerts and  other types of gigs.  I will in my  class explain  what  it takes  to  play bass with a  band  and  even  learn how  to get gigs. 
 
Formally I have attended my first two years of college at the prestigious Juilliard School of Music studying composition. 
I worked as an arranger and composer for  many singers and  recording sessions.  
One of my compositions was performed at Carnegie Recital Hall in NYC,
As a song writer, I have music on the various digital platforms.
I had the opportunity  to play bass for a band  at the world famous Copacabana in NYC,  before it closed.

 I truly have fun and enjoy the creativity of teaching and seeing my students succeed as they pursue their goals and dreams.

`I produced Tony award winner Melba Moore. As a result of my work, she starred as Fantine in the Broadway production of Les Misérables,
`one of my compositions was performed at Carnegie  Recital Hall in NYC,
`I have taught music and drama in the school system for 30 years,
`as a song writer, I have music on the various digital platforms,
`as an author, I am published and my theatre works have been performed in Community and School Theater,

In closing, I truly have fun and enjoy the creativity of teaching and seeing my students succeed,
