Singing with Anthony K.

I was born into a family of musicians and educators. My grandfather was a choral director and my grandmother is organist and a piano teacher. Guitar was the first instrument that I studied privately. I went on to study classical guitar, voice, and piano at Wayne State University. I have performed in several classical guitar studio recitals at WSU as well as performed with Wayne State’s selective choral ensemble Concert Chorale for three years. I have taught private lessons from my home studio, and I have taught guitar at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. While earning my Vocal Music Education Degree, I gained experience teaching general music, choir, and classroom guitar in public schools. I also conducted choir, band, and orchestra while at Wayne State. I chose to become a teacher because I realized the lasting impact that many of my teachers had on me, and I want to provide students with the same opportunity to grow. I look forward to sharing my unique set of skills with my students.
