ASG is a membership organization that welcomes sewing enthusiasts of all skill levels and from many different walks of life. Chapters are located in cities all across the country and members meet monthly to learn new sewing skills, network with others who share an interest in sewing and participate in community service sewing projects. Membership in the Guild gives you an opportunity to experience your love of any type of home sewing with others who share your interest.

TAKING A BREAK FROM NEW STUDENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. CURRENT STUDENTS ARE STILL BEING SEEN. 

We can start at the very beginning with basic stitches and seams and have you get familiar with your machine; I can help you read and complete a pattern for any item you want to work on; or we can do alterations. I do have some fabric for beginners to practice on but if you have a pattern, please provide your fabric and the notions listed on the pattern. I can come to you or you can come to my home -- I have a craft room/sewing studio in my house (but I have 2 cats - in case you have allergies). If you book a lesson, please do not choose Recurring. Put in each one individually or contact me and I can do it for you.

Annie is a great teacher and very nice.  I would definitely recommend her, she's really knowledgeable and patient.

I am so happy with my decision to take private lessons with Annie! Having never sewn before, I feel that the hands-on instruction in my own home and on my own machine shrunk the learning curve and alleviated so much of the frustrations I would have experienced trying to learn from online videos or books. She is intelligent, experienced and has a very pleasant disposition. She taught me what wasn't written in the pattern directions, and was able to offer suggestions and other options for the various steps along the way. I went from never having sewn a stitch in my life to having wearable items in just a few weeks. I would highly recommend Annie!

Annie is a wonderful teacher.  She is sweet and very organized.  Annie taught my 14 year old to sew and we had fun during our lessons.  I would highly recommend her to anyone learning to sew or brushing up on sewing skills.
